2007 VW Touareg 3.0 TDi V6 turbo vanes stuck - Mr Muscle to the rescue!

Initially I thought the turbo actuator was out of range setting. But after removing and testing the actuater returned to full range of mobility.

The turbo adjusting arm was however very much stuck. I loostened the exaust port side of the turbo and sprayed some Mr Muscle oven cleaner in there and let it sit.

I forced movement onto the lever arm and that seemed to have freed up a bit of motion.

Now 15 minutes later.
Its loose as a goose!
