In Thailand, cats bring good luck! And we have bred those royally graceful smarties, the Siamese. The name of the breed here is "Wee-Chian-Maat" (spelled phonetically) วิเชียรมาศ, Thai ...a very "high registry" name for a kitty. In magic-lore, it is believed that you will have tremendous luck, if you ever have a "cat's amniotic sack". I guess it stems for their agility and the speed at which the mother chomps it in a gulp to mask the kitten's scent. I have one. Came across an abandoned newborn in my street. Saved him, cut the sack myself like a delivery with out the labor. It is dried in the sun and made into a talisman/amulet.

My life has done an upclimb since, albeit it at a snail's pace....taking it's leisurely time, to make sure, to really be in the present and learn deeply.

Thank you for the cat information. Cats protected the grain storage allowing civilation to expand past tribal. 10K years for cat habitation with humans is interesting. Yes they were revered in early Egypt. Dog habitation with humans had been approximately 15K years. A cave in France that was excavated took the habitation to humans back to 27K years. The entrance of the cave collapsed penning humans inside. A child's foot prints and a dog's foot prints were found walking together. There had been no human or animal intrusion into the cave since the collapse. All carbon dating indicated 27 before present thus the 27 years for dog habitation with humans.

every time i finish a repair something comes up again. on top of that I have seven projects I will be lucky if I finish them the end of next year. I've always have had this work cloud over my head and I did take it easy couple of days cleaning up a room that's been neglected. In the end I hope I don't get a spanking for not stopping to smell the roses.
