Thanks for informing me that brew unit needed regular lubrication. I've had my Bosch Benvenuto for 5 years and never knew about this. Could be reason why my coffee grounds are watery and loose instead of the nice dry compact unit it used to be when 1st purchase.

I have the Gaggia Anima and it's my first super-auto machine. I made the mistake of forgetting to select the ground coffee option and had a mess of grounds everywhere, literally everywhere inside the machine. I cleaned it as best I could but was wondering if you have any additional tips. Should I lubricate this machine? I just got it for Christmas and am in the learning phase. Thanks.

After removing a Stuck Brew compartment & throughly cleaning it, & re-positioning the compartment to neutral position, the gear on the inside the Saeco Villa machine will not turn into the neutral position. I can no longer fit my brew unit back into the slot. Is there anything else that I can I did the whole nine yards by placing the index card into the slot to engage the micro switch to switch on. The gear turns a little like it would normally but, the gear in the machine is still in the wrong position. Any further assistance appreciated.

Hi, we bought our Gaggia several months ago from you. I've been good about cleaning the brew unit every week or so, and just did this weekend. Today though I brewed a shot while getting my breakfast ready and only water came out (I wasn't paying attention to the machine while it did its thing). So I threw that out and made another, which came out fine, but while it was brewing I noticed smoke (or steam?) coming from behind the door with the brew group. I opened the door when it was done, and more smoke/steam came out. Is this normal? Or does this mean it needs to be lubricated even though it's only been a few months? Or could something else be going on?

Note, WLL does not carry the McGlaughlin Oil PETROL-GEL anymore on their site for sale. Amazon of course does.

I'm still having trouble figuring out how to lubricate my machine. The part where you take your brew unit apart to show us where to lubricate doesn't help because my brew unit is in one piece. Is there another source for instructions?

can u answer this question.
copper boiler used in esspresso mchine and soldering on copper parts, brass or bronze or.. valves are these parts food safe.
2.copper vessel filled with water for overnight or used for 1 week less often, develops a greenish layer due to oxidatoon and may go upto green blue layer.so such oxidation may occur inside the boiler, also pressure abd temperature sensor pipes are also copper or alloys of same.they may also develop greenish layer internally.
HOW DO WE MAKE SURE WE HAVE SAFE WATER DELIVERY, EVEN IF WE USE FILTERED WATER.
moreover copper and milk are poison causing
aluminum used in machines may not be food safe as good as stainless steel.
this concern is bugging me about coffee machines and their risks.
It may not taste like that but still erosion, corrosion of copper is its nature.
please clear this question.
im amazed how a great invention of coffee extraction was left out in hands of metallic risky ignorance.
make a good way out of question as espresso love is hindered by fear.

This is almost astonishingly unhelpful. Since most of us won't (1)disassemble our machines or (2) have the x-ray vision to see inside, seeing the "inside" tracks is not that helpful. Then covering up the application with your hand means we can't see where the grease goes anyway. And...last complaint...this bears no relationship to what is in the instruction manual. Altogether, not useful at all.
