- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional, like walnuts or pecans)
#### Instructions:
1. **Preheat oven** to 375°F (190°C).
2. **Mix the wet ingredients**: In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy and smooth. Add the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
3. **Combine dry ingredients**: In a separate bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
