Could Rope Flow improve your hiking? I definitely think it has a lot of potential…

Rope flow is a method of skipping using momentum, rotation and ground pressure through the feet as a guiding principle, and for those reasons I think it has great potential to improve your hiking flow efficiency, balance and coordination. Stay tuned for 2 more lessons on Rope Flow.

Great video. Yes, please make these types of videos. We older backpackers need head to toe guides to prevent injuries. Thanks.

reminds me of when I was in the juggling/flow arts community, there's an art called Poi which has the same kinda movements but with different props

I have never heard of this before, until this video. When I hike, I fatigue quickly because of my glutes not firing correctly.

Surely useful for running. Once I tried that and when I got these right, I got bored. Why should we do this exercise?

Interesting for sure. I skip, the moves are similar (kind of) and you get to train your ankles, calves and feet muscles while you're at it. It's much harder at the beginning but gets more fun the longer you practice it.
This rope-swingy-thingy does look nice and fluid, I shall hunt out a rope and give it a go.
Thanks for the video and the idea mate.

What do you think? Is it relevant to hiking?

How about rope-walking? That should improve balance.
