I wanted to create a series to help fill a major need in the Wix market. People want to know how to use Wix Code and what the capabilities of the platform truly are. With that in mind, I listened to my community, read comments and engaged with Wix Design Pros.

Today, I am bringing you Part 7 of a multiple part series. The series is called: "Building A Social Network In Wix | The Non-Coding Founder's Guide"

Part 7 is dedicated to delivering you an understanding of how to upload images into your user statuses. Over the past two weeks, I have delivered content on how to post a text status and how to show each new status that comes in. As promised, I wanted to show you how to upload an image in Wix in the form of a status. It is a very simple addition to your existing status feature and will allow you to gain even more credibility with your social network.

This series is specifically made for entrepreneurs, CEO's, Founder's, President's and Co-Founder's looking to build a website for their startup or re-design their existing website. The goal is to bring you quality Wix Code training videos while also displaying the capabilities you have in Wix.

I want this series to pioneer an issue Wix is currently tackling. I want people to understand how powerful the Wix platform is and how you can maximize your online marketing efforts within Wix.

Great work man! I experimented also adding creation date and time for the status, it works fine. I have a question: is there a way to adapt the textbox height according to the number of lines of text? In order not to have thae blank space between text and image if i only write 1 or 2 lines of text.

Question, can you set it up to add a video or a picture to your status or do you have to choose only one option, video or picture?

Thanks so much for doing this, my social media platform/video sharing site is looking awesome, I do have one question though for mobile users, is it possible to use these statuses on mobile devices, because it won’t submit for me on my iPhone, but it does work on computer

So I did everything and it all worked but my question is, what about the post that doesn't have pictures? Is there a way to not have a huge gap on them?

Thank you for this video and the in depth, step-by-step, walk through. However, when I attempt the same steps as you do the image does not upload to the dataset and ultimately fails and does not post to the statuses page. That said, the image upload makes it into the "Visitor Uploads" in my images files in Wix. Any idea why the image upload is not uploading to the dataset? Would you and or anyone having this same issue be able to assist me with this?

Whenever i add a text it uploads successfully within 6seconds, but whenever i try to upload text with an image and then click on submit, it is posting texting

Great series, How would an admin submit files to a users profile for ex a page where they can get downloads specific to them?

When I publish a status on my social networks it appears on the posts feed, but when I publish an image on my social network it does not appear on the posts feed.

Thanks for the follow up video! but I had a doubt..For like uploading the image we gave it some space on the repeater.. later if we are just want to post some status only then there is some space left blank for the image.. how can we remove that blank space if we are just posting a status and not an image..?? Please Help..

I have learned so much from watching your videos, I have to say thank you. I’m starting my own bracelet site, kinda like braceletbook.com, you’ve been able to answer most of my questions. What I do have to ask, is do you have a video or a way to tell me briefly how to add a pattern generator for pixels? With a colour wheel too. Is it along the same lines ?
Also is there a way to implement something just for mods and admins, so they can review things people post, before posting it permanently to the site? Like a review process?
