How Old Is The Universe? | The Creation Podcast: Episode 35

Many scientists claim that the universe is approximately 13.8 billion years old by reverse-engineering the Big Bang with the assumption that this theory is correct. How then do they explain the signs of youth in the earth, our solar system, and deep space?

In this episode, host Ivana Semidey and ICR physicist Dr. Jake Hebert take a look at how phenomena like the earth's magnetic field, comets, distant starlight, spiral galaxies, and globular clusters provide evidence for a universe that is closer to 6,000 years old.

The mysteries of the universe are so amazing and imagine how amazing God is. If it's this hard to figure out the things he's created, imagine how complex and awesome he is.

This is very cool because the evidence aligns with the Bible. God bless ICR for bringing this information to us.

I think it would be worthwhile to do a podcast exclusively on the latest JWST images.

I see it this way. God created all things so that we humans can discover His works and in each discovery we can glorify Him. how great Is Our God.

The latest JWST images of galaxies red shifted 13-35 billion light yrs away show these are fully formed, these should be immature, that supports what was mentioned here. It also supports the anisotropic principle of light travel being instantaneous in the direction of the Observer.

Makes sense that there is a Creator. Evolution is the theory that is illogical. Everything in this world is made by something or someone. Things do not just appear out of nowhere for no reason.

An entertaining and easy-to-understand conversation about Genesis creation, evolution, and the Big Bang debate is the book Axis of Beginning.

What about the scripture that talks about God stretching out the universe? Just a thought. If he stretched out the universe after his 6 day creation, wouldn't that affect it?

Thanks for producing and posting this extremely informative video. I believe there is a distinct possibility that during G-d's creation process, a plant grew from a shoot to a full grown tree in a few moments of time. If one was to be present during the act of creation it would be very similar to watching time lapse photography. When pondering the creation of living things, I am always drawn to the instance when Messiah healed the man who had been blind since birth (John 9:1). It is my contention that the man was born lacking eyes. The Messiah made clay by combining His spittle with dust of the earth, placed it where the man's eyes should have been, and from that clay formed two fully formed perfectly functioning eyes.

When you ask yourself, how was possible for the massive galaxies to reach the distance of 13.8 billion years?
(At speed of light).. It doesn't add up.
Galaxies do not move that fast.
The ruler they are using is wrong.

Beyond the Hubble Sphere both matter and photons are being moved by space faster than the speed of light. If light can be moved faster than the speed light by space, it is possible for the light from distant galaxies to have reached us from across enormous distances.... but in very little time.

You're right, the Universe isn't old, it never began. Anybody who believes the Universe is 6, 000 years old needs to see a shrink.

I have a theory that there are objects (don’t ask what or what kind) that somehow speed up light, and some that somehow slow down light. And they are both scattered all over the universe in between Earth and any given distance galaxy/star/planet/etc. whatever those objects are (Black Holes maybe?) when light passes by them, it is affected in some way that either makes the photons speed up or makes them slow down.

Didn't the speed of light slow down exponentially until it reached an asymptote? Missler showed this in his Beyond Series. Seems like that would help explain a lot of what we're viewing astrologically from Earth
