This was the litmus test! Scotland playing so well. Nothing in it for so long, Ireland sacrificed so many bodies. Looked in the balance. Hansen and the introduction of Gibson Park, who just at a vital stage got the quick ball going. Ireland responded and finished in style. Roll on The Old Enemy on St Patrick’s weekend 🙌🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪

🇺🇸 here: Was impressed with this match and never had been this entertained in the past few years with any Six Nations match like this one. Not only did Ireland proved the odds that you can make a squad, even when some of your key players are battered to the brim; but they proved how a Country like mine (who's RFU is in shambles) can learn many things from the best. All I can say from here is that I'm rooting for them against England by all means.

As a french I guess our only hope is for England to pull off a miracle. If not, the Irish will deserve that beautiful grand slam.

When you look back at 2011 and the Wales try that was given in similar circumstances where a quick throw-in was allowed using a different ball I would have assumed the try would be given as it was a Scotland error not Irelands.

This proved two things, that Scotland are a good team, still improving but it also clearly showed that this is an excellent Ireland team who are capable of winning the World Cup in September.
