I ordered a set of pre-bent stainless steel brake lines from Brother's Trucks (Manufactured by Inline Tube) and they needed some modification. I also mount the aluminum 20 gallon gas tank from CPP.

Cpp sells the front disc conversion brake line kit just for the 70s, it fit like a glove on mine

gas tank looks fantastic. wish I would have gone the same route(top fill). used a blazer tank with angled filler neck and it was a pain. front suspension set up looks top notch

I'll be hitting the brakes very soon on my own build. As usual, you made it look easy. Thanks as always!

Using a good double flaring tool is a must, I’ve never flared stainless lines before, Eastwood has a really nice tool for that. Good luck and don’t forget to put the flare nut on first!! Take care, truck is looking great!!

I bought a kit from inline for my 1972 C10 with disc brakes up front and drums on the rear and had trouble in the same area you are having issues with, but everything else fit like a glove.

I purchased a CPP tank also. It took me a while to get around to installing it so it's an evidently an earlier version and an 18 gal tank. Part number KUST-1401and it has a 2019 date on it.
After mounting it below the frame, like you did, it stuck up beyond the frame rails about 1/4". I had to add a spacer between the mounting bracket and the frame to
space the tank down enough to get the bed installed flush with the frame. The tank also had a bow in the top that made the situation worse.

The filler is also very close to the center of the tank, how lame is that having the filler almost in the middle of the box.

It didn't have the mounting hole for the in-tank pump either, that had to be cut in. Installing it was a very frustrating experience .

I can tell your tank sits lower and it a 20 gal tank two more than my older version. The extra two gallons must come from the beveled edge on the one side. This tank may no longer sold at CPP and I can tell you why. Wish they did a little more product research and development instead of letting their customers do it for them. I would have returned it if I could. An expensive POS in my opinion. Your tank appears to be a much improved design.

Had the same headaches with my brake lines. when I do the rear discs and need a proportioning valve, I'm just gonna buy bulk line and bend my own on what gets replaced.

I saved time by removing that back bracket then slide the tank in then bolt the bracket back into place.

Should've bought the kit for the 69...69 & 70 are practically identical...they changed for 71-72...

CPP, some refer to as Chinese Performance Parts. Maybe that's why the tank took so long to get there. Great looking build!
