Just got to the mistlands, haven't come across a 2 star yet. Now I know I have to run for my life when I do 😂

A 1 star took me out with one hit at like 90 hp. I had full padded armor too 😂 now I know what a two star can do

Everytime I have a plan in my head to build in the Mistlands, I remember that 2 star seekers exist and can FLY!@

The root armor chest piece and bonemass will make them pretty easy to deal with

Hey, I was about to continue the talk under my previous comment but I think this might be more useful on its own. I tried to get a grasp on how block/parry work and what breaks them.

According to the wiki, block/parry act like armor. Your block skill increases this armor by 0.5% per level. For now let's talk just about the parry. Assume your stagger meter is empty when you parry an attack. Assume you also have enough stamina to parry.

When we apply the weapon's armor, if the remainder of the damage is more than 40% of your MAX health, the attack breaks through and the damage reduction from the parry is ignored.

Lets show some numbers. When using Krom (base parry armor = 104), lets calculate the required MAX hp to just barely not break when parrying a 240 dmg attack from a 2* seeker:

block skill = 0
Parry armor = 104
Remaining damage = 240-104 = 136
136 is 40% of 340
So 340 max HP is needed

block skill = 20
Parry armor = 114.4
Remaining damage = 240-114.4 = 125.6
125.6 is 40% of 314
So 314 max HP is needed

block skill = 100
Parry armor = 156. 156 is more than a half of the damage, so we use the alternative equation.
Remaining damage = 240^2/(4*156) = 92.3
92.3 is 40% of 231
So 231 max HP needed

231 MAX HP is doable. I acknowledge this is my first time calculating anything Valheim related. There might be oversights.

People often forget to play with the ancient root armor on, it's really strong against seeker, as most of their attacks deal pierce damage. The only one dealing slash damage is the attack with two arms.

Seeker has probably the highest stagger damage for non boss monsters. Challenging a 2 star only has 1 result. Even using a Flametal shield can't tank all that damage.

In very hard mode, it's instant death even with the best Mistland armor and food
