A Mango Tree’s Dream Home: Inside Out House Tour in Ahmedabad

Показать описание
Welcome to the Inside Out House by Modo Designs, an architectural gem in Ahmedabad, India, where boundaries dissolve, and nature seamlessly integrates with design. Conceptualized by architect Arpan Shah, this 1170 m² residence redefines modern living through its ingenious use of courtyards, light, and space.
The house incorporates three courtyards—an inner court, an outer court, and a dining courtyard enveloping a mango tree. These courtyards blur the lines between indoor and outdoor spaces, creating an airy, nature-inspired abode. The architecture embraces sustainability and privacy through wood screens, operable louvres, and locally sourced materials like mirror-finished Kotah stone.
The layout features a fluid transition of spaces, starting from the east-facing vestibule to semi-open passages that lead to living, dining, and private areas. Bedrooms are elevated above, offering serene views of the lush garden. The south-west corner accommodates a guest suite, while the north-west houses a gym and spa, catering to relaxation and wellness.
With its exposed concrete, RCC framework, and timber accents, the house exudes a minimalist yet earthy charm. Its open verandah, strategically positioned between the courtyards and garden, serves as the perfect retreat year-round, offering tranquillity for the family or an individual.
Step into this architectural masterpiece where modern design meets traditional Indian courtyards, crafting a serene dialogue between man and nature. A collaboration of visionaries, designers, and consultants, the Inside Out House is more than a home—it's a sanctuary.
