Crayfish (crawfish, crawdads...) are easy, cheap, and very gratifying to raise. Mine coexists very well with a gold gourami.

Also, breeding them is a treat. Baby crayfish are gorgeous

You really should do a Betta tank, given space and enough mental stimulation, they're one of the freshwater fish with the most personality.
I think showing people the proper care and attention for a beta, and how they'll respond to it, would help prevent a lot of mistakes people commonly make with Bettas.
Bettas are so commonly abused, which is sad, since they're like puppies

Please do bettas! They are so pretty, and are easy to keep. It would get people inspired from the color of them to get into the hobby, and they are easy to keep for those who do. It would also be so interesting to see a nice betta sorority in your collection!

That marine betta was GORGEOUS! I think you should get him!
A livebearer tank would be cool too. I have 2 planted tanks. One has pineapple swords, Platys, guppies and a few white clouds. The other has Platys, guppies and white clouds from my summer patio pond.
But! You should do goldfish! I loved your goldfish tank! I have 4 goldfish tanks.
And I have one betta in a planted ten gallon with a Matten filter. From my experience with bettas, this is the best set up I’ve had for them so far. He’s healthy and happy😊

The occasional fish store tour is alright, it’s not a bad way to find out about new fish

I think a betta tank would be very cool to see considering most people think bettas can just live in those terrible round fish bowls seeing a proper set up for them could be good to get out there.

I had a bright blue crayfish years ago that had been bred for brighter color but a friend was having a rough time in college with personal issues. She lived in the dorm so options were limited for pets and they said they would allow the crayfish. I gave her the crayfish and he meant so much to her. I never expected a little crayfish to have such an impact. I don't regret giving him up because of the situation but I have been tempted to get more especially when I see ones as bright as the one I had.
