I’ve had five golden retrievers. The best way I can describe it is that it’s like living with your perpetually happy best friend whose sole mission in life is to make you happy as well. More than any other dog breed in my opinion.

The GR is the most cherished pet that I have ever lived with. Cooper’s description fits every Goldie. Big, soft, goofy, a tad worrisome, loving, “no” is not in their vocabulary, clingy, etc. Paws up, the best dog to ever have as a friend.

We had my Gilbert for 15+ yrs. I had to put him to sleep because he got cancer. My ❤️ is broken still. Best campanion ever. Smart, brilliant, loving, funny, faithful, protective and just a joy. The only downfall is that they don't live 1000 years. Miss you Gib!!! Oh and their beautiful faces show a ton of expressions.
