There will be a lot to memorize and recite verbatim and at proper cadence. But even if you happen to forget the words, never go through the motions when speaking them and never forget the meaning behind them. They are ethos to live by.

As a former Infantry NCO, this makes me happy to see while bringing some nostalgia.

Every generation of warriors will say that next generation has it easy. For the new blood, it’s your job to prove you can stand tall beside the warriors before you. Prove that you are worthy of the torch, worthy of having the rifle passed to you.
