At one point, this guy was so popular in Britain he rivalled Churchill in terms of a PM's popularity. What a fall. 😂😂

Man, after reading the comments I couldn’t believe how hated Tony Blair is. I’m in the US and Bush doesn’t even get that much hate anymore; in fact, Bush is having something of a reputational renaissance. It helps W’s case that Trump made him look like FDR but Bush has actually had the class and restraint to keep out of politics since he left office.

Here is my advice which you didnt listen to in 2002. If you are at war with the Taliban, finish the war first before you go invade someone else because the Taliban might win. And Osama might escape. If you go to war in a country to respond to 911 you should pick a country where the actual hijackers came from. If you are going to war with whoever helps Bin Ladin you look really stupid when you stop at the border of your ally Pakistan and pretend nobody knows hes there. If you overthrow a dictator do not obliterate the entire civil service infrastructure or fire the entire army because the country will collapse into chaos. If you take over a country do not put incompetent cronies in charge if big important things like power and water. If you cause a refugee crisis dont complain about immigration. If you dont have good evidence someone is going to attack you then dont flash it in front of the UN because it might be a lie. If you want to set up an international rules based order after WWII to stop wars then dont break those rules unless you are under imminent existential threat. If you come into power then pay attention to security and dont blow off warnings from people about impending attacks. If you want to stop religious fanatic terrorists then maybe stop allying with them for decade after decade after decade. If you want to spread democracy then listen to your own people.

He’s right on about AI, we need to be at the forefront especially with the infrastructure required to deliver new medical services and welfare support when AI becomes ubiquitous and pervasive.

I wish Tony Blair comes back as prime minister. God I don’t know why but Borris Johnson is just a shitshow.

@2 mins in What private sector businesses have actually improved their service post IT revolution? Only convincing case might be booking hotels and airline tickets, but the total time to travel by air when you include all the post 911 bs is far greater than it was in 1985. Only thing it’s been good for is information, at a pretty low level. Like basic articles and wikipedia. That’s something I guess, but in a world where two thirds of the economy are service sector jobs like waiters, baristas, medical workers, plumbers etc, things are arguably more lame and repulsive

ffs, before i clicked i was hoping he didn't say AI ... clear he aint used anything related to it.. He's also right that kids should be taught in a proper manner, good advanced, modern methods, tech etc.. shame at the higher levels its putting kids into crippling dept that lasts around 30 years .. So .. Tone .. whats the answer to that ?

Surely, you’re aware he's a war criminal, correct? What profound insights could one possibly glean from such a character?

Ah wow, it went ALL the way off the rails in the last sentence. "Lesson planning isn't part of the core skills of a teacher" what???

Everytime that man says ‘we’ he never defines it! Certainly aint the populace or the people he is referring to. Follow his money, his version of ‘we’ is that group that benefits from state funded initiatives and forever sets the self-serving statusquo of ‘frameworks’ designed as control and suppression by that same group to continue retention of ‘the drivers seat’. Invidious little golum.

I'm hoping the advice was "don't take advise from war criminals or intelligence from the CIA"

This comment section is interesting, with many people calling him a "war criminal"... perhaps, it is actually justified to some degree, I don't know. But, the fact that so many independent people use this exact specific term, so quickly after the video is published, suspiciously looks like you-know-what...

I wonder, what exactly Blair said which upset them so much? Personally, I didn't particularly care about Blair before, but this actually makes me more interested in the rest of the interview.
