If someone is going to buy a model X, the six seat interior is mandatory. If you only want 5 seats, why not save a buck and get a Model Y.

Instead of paying 6500 for 6 seats, I got a X plaid for 10, 000 extra. Net increase of 3500 dollars but tri-motor with 1050 hp and plaid version for 3500 is totally worth it! Plus they make it with lesser flaws!

My brother in law has a 7 seater Model X and the back seats are definitely only for kids. Even middle row is a stretch if filled with 5’10” adults. Front seat adults need to move their seat forward to accommodate.

As cool as the falcon wing doors are and the status that comes with the X, model Y is the best bang for your buck.

I have a 7 seater model x. I love the extra seats but unfortunately it's all manual to push the seat back and forth and it's so tricky I have a hard time folding the middle seat to have people sit in the back. The back is not spacious enough to be comfortable either. My kids fit fine but husband is uncomfortable. Love the idea but wish they would make it automatic for seats to move, would make it easier with a push of a button. 😒

I’d say it definitely is worth it because of his much more comfortable the second row is. Do keep in mind though that your uninterrupted cargo space is most limited in the 6 seat versio as the second row doesn't fold, although it does tilt forward mostly for easy entry into the third row (honestly, it's easier to just go between the seats)

Captain’s chairs don’t have armrests and can’t recline the back independent of the seat. Mind boggling.

For my family, YES. Can you add Captain's chairs in our minivan with a bench seat in back and it was perfect. When you have three littles and car seats you need to get back there

Captain's chairs without armrests is an unforgivable oversight and an absolute dealbreaker for many, myself included, hence why I got a 5 seater.

I have a 6 seater and yea the seats are nice and all, but a quick warning: the captain seats DO NOT fold down! If you want to haul any furniture home you’re beat. A huge oversight by Tesla.

Such a big vehicle to only carry one more passenger. Pay more for less is wild to me. I prefer practicality. If you get the bench then you can fold down the second row completely for more space when transporting
