Expanding Auto-Dubbing to More Creators - Made on YouTube Recap!

Hello Insiders! Today we're recapping one of the launches from our Made on YouTube Event, the expansion of auto-dubbing to more creators.

We know our audience has been especially interested in this ability so we're happy to share that it'll be coming to more creators soon.

Creators who previously had access were only able to dub videos from English in to Spanish and Portuguese (and vice versa) but we're happy to announce we'll be adding more languages to the feature soon, so that creators using the tool can dub from English into other languages and from those additional languages into English.

Auto-dubbing was just one of many expansions and announcements from our Made on YouTube event. We've left more resources in the description.

Would love to know why youtube quietly added the new url parameter "si" when sharing links.. There has been no notification or documentation on its intended purpose. Would be nice if you could let creators know!

With all the tech updates it would be nice to have a working search function. Having to use 3rd party apps to find YT content that is relevant to search terms is ridiculous. If I am trying to fix my RV hot water heater I am not interested in how someone got kicked out of an RV park for vanlifing in a smart car "other people watch" "for you" and "previously watched" are the last thing I am interested in. Replacing relevant results with trending fluff is annoying.

It would be very nice to upload several sound tracks so viewers can for instance choose to have just game sound, or the soundtrack with game sound and voiceover, or just voice. Or with or without music.

Another confusing video. You said “once creators have access their videos will be automatically dubbed upon upload with the ability to opt out if they so choose.” So videos are going to be dubbed even if we don’t want them to be? Please show examples and explain in detail. When you constantly release features a lot of creators don’t want and make them have to opt out it’s not fair. It should be the opposite. If creators want a feature they should have to opt in.

There should be a “Auto CC confirmed accurate” or not by creators. Often I see auto CC inaccurate. Especially for music.

When we will be able to choose frame for shorts thumbnails on PC post upload? I'm able to do it on mobile but after several edits, it just resets and I need to scroll all the way down or vice versa. It just resets and I need to find where I was again. Please bring this to PC's.

A cool idea, but vetting the dub doesn't seem super viable. Maybe for larger channels it would make financial sense. 👍
