Am I the only one who has a problem with both Marley and Paradis having children as soldiers? I'm sure with Paradis it's more about manpower but still. Just a small nit pick other than that it's still a great story.

For two reasons, first because it was the first time they saw a titan. In their other missions, they only fought other humans, and second, they were still children when they arrived on Paradise Island, and they didn't know what to do when they saw a titan for the first time. Also, Marcel could have transformed when he saw titan, instead of pushing Reiner

No one taught them how to deal with a titan popping up out of the ground. Anyone would panic if a bear suddenly popped up from underground where they were camping last night.

Also its the unknown. They didnt expect to find a titan in that moment so they were unprepared
