Brava, Melanie! What a great initiative! I'm right there with you! I've been going to the SMAQ in Place Bonaventure for a few years now to encourage local artisans and find special hand-crafted gifts for the holidays. As a bonus, many use recycled materials. I find I buy less but better quality, and I love meeting the people and hearing about the process behind their craft. Hopefully, more people will jump on the bandwagon. :-)
