Ratan Tata Last Rites LIVE: Ratan Tata News | Ratan Tata Funeral LIVE | Worli Crematorium | Mumbai

As the country mourns the death of revered industrialist Ratan Tata, hundreds of people have gathered at the NCPA lawns to pay their last prayers to their beloved businessman. Tata’s mortal remains are kept at the NCPA, Nariman Point for public respect and the last rites are expected to take place at around 4 pm.

A sea of corporate leaders, politicians and celebrities turned up to pay final respects to the former Tata Group chairman at the venue. On behalf of the Indian government, Union Home Minister Amit Shah offered his last respects to the revolutionary industrialist, Ratan Tata, at NCPA.

The Maharashtra Government has declared a day of mourning on Thursday to honour the industrialist Ratan Tata, the Chief Minister’s Office announced.

Tata, who is credited with transforming the Tata Group into a globally recognised conglomerate, passed away at 86 in a Mumbai hospital on Wednesday.
