These actually make alot of mathematical sense, and are very very intuative on how they are made. You could make any two images like this as long as they are continuous on the shared axis (in this example, they share the up-down)

The point isn't that this isn't cool, but that this specific one is very underwhelming. There are some made of all differrent materials that are alot more complex and convey meanings alot deeper.

Perhaps that's the beauty of this piece. Simplicity. It is a simple piece showing the interaction and connection of two seemingly simple organic animals, but ultimately its about what's deeper- about perspective. Not only perspective as obvious, but that of seeing what's more- that of the underlying complexities. The simplicity was intentional, in a way that points out the complex mathematical systems that drive its creation. The complex system that drive out creation. That drive all creation.

It's perhaps comment on humans and how fragile we are, in seeing only what we choose to- as clearly I have started the conversation, some see it as a simple cool trick and others see the complexities of what's hiding in a way that makes the obvious simplicity very underwhelming.

Consider too on what it says about people- it depicts animals, yet we are but another one looking at it. While we pretend to understand what's happening, just like the prey shown, we are susceptible to all sorts of tricks and illusions.

Maybe what we see isng just black and white, like it's colours.
