Could the years of Half-Life 3 memes and jokes actually payoff this year?

Valve launching the Steam Machine 2 with Half Life 3 as an exclusive would be absolutely insane.

My prediction is that GTA 6 does NOT come out in 2025.

Half-Life 3 seems likely. Not only are we getting information from reliable sources but in interviews about Half-Life Alyx it was revealed that Valve has been working on it on and off since Episode 2.

I like the idea of a Smash Reboot. Make it a 3D fighter like Power Stone or do something to fundamentally change the franchise. This way Ultimate can remain the swan song of an amazing series.

A lot of datamining points to Valve releasing both a console and a standalone VR headset. Both have seemed to increase not decrease. I would be shocked if both are not released at some point. Linux on ARM is being worked on for Valve. That could be used on the long-rumored Deckard.

A remake of Oblivion is disappointing when it's Morrowind that genuinely really needs a remake.

More of a fear and less of a prediction, but I'm worried GTA VI is going to create a blackhole of no games releasing months before and months after it. I could see a world in which basically nothing releases after summer 2025 and spring of 2026 as publishers run away from it.

My Predictions:
- More companies announce a new Handheld.

-OLED tech becomes much more affordable.

-Tariff increase leads to an even higher level of entry into new hardware, so we should see quite a spike in the online marketplace interaction.

-Switch 2 might get ahead of the Tariff spike by pushing an earlier release.

- More games and studios canceled in 2025, and more games announced for 2028
