People miss the point of the DB9: the V12 is 'relaxed' because AM purposely haven't squeezed every possible horse from it. What this gives you though is one of the smoothest engines on the market and an ultimate GT car with V12 torque to pull you along.

People don't understand; you don't buy a DB9 to drag race, but to enjoy that visceral V12 and cruise in utmost luxury.

Yeah, sure. It also has less power than a Aventador V12, Gallardo V10, GTR V6 BiTurbo.. We even drove 2.5 litre 5-cylinder engines with more power.. What's your point? If this car had any more power it would get in the way of the Vanquish at first and later the DBS. I hope you can appreciate the sound and smoothness of this magnificent V12, because that is what this car is all about! ;)

I doubt the boot is actually open. That particular sensor has been known to play up on DB9s.

You have the best Job in the world, along with Jeremy Clarkson from topgear. Just taking cars to their limits. Just subscribed. BTW I would love to see how the new V12 thats coming out, Aston claims it could go from 0-62 in ONLY 4.2 seconds. Maybe if you'd try the new V12, you will shut all these people who are complaining about its speed rather than embrace its overall beauty.

I love all of these videos but I think a 0-160km/h (0-100mph) would be a better timing interval

so you have the space for the engine, 12 cyclinders. but its just does not stress the engine with these acceleration times. it's a good thing, means that you won't have any issues related to the engine. of course there are little hatches with 4 cyclinders and accelerating less than 5.3 seconds, but all the stress on the 4 cyclinder engine then the engine blows up.

The boot indicator will stay on if you close it after the car is running.   That is what mine does.
