One more more tip. Get 5 gallon solar shower bags and shower outside. It takes about the same amount of water you are using to shower, minus the propane use. These bags can also be filled prior to boondocking. We had three people that showered and had enough for one more person. The fresh air gives you a closer feel to nature.

I've always conserved my water when RVing. I watch another couple on YouTube that seem to have a real issue with conserving water. Going through approx. 60 gallons every couple of days, which is crazy to me. You could probably conserve even more water if you took your shower together. LOL :)

We use a dish pan to wash dishes in and keep soapy water in it to scrub dishes as we use them. Mostly silverware, pans and cups. Then when it gets dirty we toss it in the grassy areas. Keeps less water filling the tanks. Plus most everything else you do. We also have a small blue sewer tank for gray water in dry camps. Then when it fills up off we go to dump it. Saves tearing down camp to use a dump station. We have a pickup and trailer.

One reason why you want to hang onto your grey water is to rinse the hose after dumping the black tank at the dump station.  Always nice to have a good long grey water flush of the sewer line after dumping the black..

Gone With The Wynns in one of the Burning Man episodes had some methods of getting rid of gray water.

I dump our gray water on the desert, also. But if I see evidence (white soap type residue) that others have done the same, I hook up a garden hose to a Valterra dump line cap with a garden hose connection and disperse the gray water away from the site ( I have a cheap 50ft lite weight hose specifically for this purpose) . Love your videos, enjoy this nice Arizona warmth!!

Enjoy your videos. Kudos for your courage to venture in remote areas, especially with an older coach. I am now cautious even to travel on Sundays especially on 2 lane rural roads in my 5 year old diesel pusher in case of a breakdown. Was much much more adventurous at your age!

We do about the same as you guys. Only 40 gals. Is a bummer👎

As I understand it; the USA is one of the only countries that require the second tank --- everyone else just dumps the water as it is used

I've stayed in private campgrounds in California during drought years where they have asked us to use our grey water to water the trees at night on a slow trickle from a garden hose. We use bio soaps in our TT so I didn't see it as a big deal. While tent camping we dump our dish water, it really is no different.

How does dumping a gray water tank differ from say a Tent Camper using a privy shelter and Zodi shower? It's not like they collect and contain their gray water, and nobody expects them to... That's why they make Camp Suds....

We also have 40 gal. fresh water tank and a 6 gal. water heater tank in our Class C. We seem to be able to go 3 days on a tank of water before needing to fill up again on the 4th. day with 2 of us in the camper. How many days can you go before needing water again with your conservation methods?

40 gallons! brutal! Do you guys take extra water, in collapsible containers for example, with you when you go to a particular spot? "Some guy" told me having a big bladder, like 60 gallons, and a small DC electric pump to get the water into the fill spout on the RV, made the most sense. Any ideas on storage and filling the RV with extra water?

I didn't even realize people get upset about dumping gray water? That's pretty dumb to be upset about
