Rupert on the DemystifySci podcast.

Anastasia completed her PhD studying bioelectricity at Columbia University. When not talking to brilliant people or making movies, she spends her time painting, reading, and guiding backcountry excursions. Michael Shilo also did his PhD at Columbia studying the elastic properties of molecular water. When he's not in the film studio, he's exploring sound in music. They are both freelance professors at various universities.

Dr Rupert Sheldrake, PhD, is a biologist and author best known for his hypothesis of morphic resonance. At Cambridge University he worked in developmental biology as a Fellow of Clare College. He was Principal Plant Physiologist at the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics and From 2005 to 2010 was Director of the Perrott-Warrick project, Cambridge.

Rupert's latest book is...

A most generous Dose of Dr. Sheldrake's Mind. I always feel so much more focused, calm, and sane after listening to him. Constant Gratitude.

Rupert Sheldrake is an evergreen in the forest of scientific voices. A delightful and unique hero with a divine sense of good humor, very hilarious good humor at times!

Rupert sheldrake is absolutely correct, he is a person if not taken into mainstream scientific account more seriously will be a detriment to the further advancement of science

that minds are not confined 'inside heads' is quite undoubted - the amount of accounts of people who 'died' on operating tables and then watched their own procedure take place, floated outside the hospital and looked at the roof, followed their family home down the road and listened to their conversations, went to heaven and came back with an accurate prophecy (which they did not want to believe), is endless

I love how beautiful soft spoken and intelligent this lady is. That's femininity and all its beauty and strength because that's where it's strength is. Definitely my kind of woman

Initially I had an issue with the title: I was going to say maybe NEVER skip the designation "Dr" for well known individuals such as Dr Sheldrake, while tossing random unknown "Dr" (PhD) titles in front of other obscure names. It Smacks of egotistical misguided sentiment. HOWEVER, it appears the title of this video is actually uploaded by Dr Shelldrake, or those who handle his YouTube account. Which means he (or those around him) are overly compassionate with regard to the academic accolades of others, while being indifferent of their own. Bravo!!

I see the Demystified YT account handled this same video title quite respectively. So I stand corrected. And will continue to watch and contribute to both Patreon accounts. ..

Parkour always really comes to mind when I hear of morphic resonance, 3 or 4 guys all trying some new challenging trick on the street, all of them failing, time after time, then all of a sudden one of them unlocks it and gets a clean landing, then the rest follow, its like as soon as the move is complete once, the rest find it much easier, so much so, that they end up doing an extra flip on the end of the impossible (3 minutes previous) trick...

Before the vid begins, how many Dog owners have said their Dog's have been caught going to the window the exact same time their Boss's mind was Set on coming home. There IS, a link and those who never experienced this, simply say nothing but complain. I am glad to admit, his story never changed from the first time years ago.

People have used to say in the past that there are eyes and ears everywhere. Definitely that is an intuitive way of sensing a field of collective memory.

Great conversation! I wonder what dr sheldrake would say about the idea that when many people believe something is impossible it somehow is, but once we see someone has done it our belief instantly changes. The example I always hear mentioned is how everyone believed nobody would ever run a mile under 4 minutes. Yet very shortly after Roger Bannister did it several other people did it as well. Some that were interviewed even said they felt it was impossible until Bannister did it. Very curious

Governments fund science, governments have agenda's, agenda's and science don't mix. It would be great if more of the private sector funded science.

I like that Michael suggested using bacteria instead of rats for the effects of learnt behaviour in an organism. I would like a Sheldrake with a better understanding of consciousness studies in all animals including the smallest ones.
