“Fly” should have been called “Ebola” You know, it’s a disease on the discovery channel where all your intestines sort of just slip out of your butt.

The Colombian version metastasis in the second episode of the third season used the song Libre by Nino Bravo. Spanish singer. In the beginning. Which ironically a now single Walter Blanco sings in his car. In which in his mind, he doesn’t feel fulfilled in life. Especially his meth cooking ways. Even though, he can cook meth without Cielo being in his business if granted a divorce like Skyler wanted. Because a wise spouse could’ve called the police and arrested Walter. But decides distancing is more preferable than not.

Damn, I love things in series' where one episode or chapter or something is completely different from the rest, (I cant remember which, but theres an entire episode of Bluey thats just one constant shot for the whole thing) but thats a little disappointing that Fly was made that way for budget reasons as opposed to "Lets do something completely different"

Anyway, very excited to see what you have planned at 1k subscribers! Imo you should be way past that, but the algorithm isnt exactly great.

I don't think that this really does the term "Kafkaesque" justice. Franz Kafka's stories revolved a lot around the complex societal systems we live in - systems so vast and complicated that no one really understand them. We're trapped in them like mice in a lab, not understanding for what reason, with each person around us feeling helpless to change anything about the system as a whole, for they're only a small part of it as well.

Jesse feels trapped in the life he chose, feeling like he has no escape either, and yet the people around him all just play their little part in the game, powerless to change the overall system.

2 notes
1. I really like how you used these in your details about every episode series, especially since these were made when you had less subs
2. When talking about the fly you talk about how the budget restrictions made it artistic prowess less special for you. But i argue that the contraty is true. Restriction in art reall pushes writers to do something unique, and although it advances a lot of the story less. The break that this episode adds encapsulates everything Walt is feeling and its almost a last desperate attempt to show real humanity in walter

Is anyone else bothered by the fact that the closeup of Jesse's shoe in "Fly" shows him standing on the floor, but he's actually standing on a box?
