the excitement people have for Austen’s Feyd-Rautha reminds me of the excitement people had when they saw Heath as Joker. i think it was an oscar worthy performance, he excelled in the role and added so much to it with his acting.

I thought the choice to emulate the Baron’s voice worked well. The Baron favors Feyd-Rautha over Rabban, more and more throughout Part 2. I think the Baron sees Feyd as a better extension of himself than Rabban, so the voices being more similar adds to that dynamic.

Before seeing the film - expected to not enjoy his character 😅 that it might be an unsurprising villainous flop.
While witnessing - utter fascination, mad respect. Austin stood out and made his character legendary. Emmulating Stellan's voice and kissing him cemented the dynamic and dedication for me. Repulsed in the moment- but like witnessing a really close family acting natural. Brilliant.

I also love how the young actors often NAME who they work with to hone the character. Gracious to credit the team behind the art.
