Fellows i just went on a date. She is quite pretty. When she showed up she was so nervous her eyebrows were twitching. The whole date felt like pulling teeth though, i couldn't get her to open up very much. We went to a museum and i was nerding out about everything (indian jewelry and cool revolvers and the weave on a 1750s handkerchief) and she just kinda stood there and agreed and smiled. I thought she was bored, and offered her an out which seemed to bother her a little, and i have no idea what was going on. The same thing works in reverse; as a man it's easier to be flirty and charming with women you aren't interested in because there's no pressure. I've always had an easier time charming women I had no interest in. Sometimes I would do it accidentally by just acting normally around them because I didn't see them that way at all. This is what some PUAs and RP-gurus would preach as well; to develop your social skills practice (flirting, talking-up, whatever) on women you aren't especially interested in so you don't put so much pressure on yourself and are outcome independent.
