Yes! Trek needs more beauty shots of the ships. The ship is just as important as any character in any series.

Sean, the Enterprise D corridors were actually first built to be the corridors of the movie version of the original Enterprise. Also the Enterprise D engineering set was used as the engineering set for the Enterprise A in Star Trek VI (they also used Enterprise D conference room set for the Enterprise A dining room in that movie — although it did get blown up in the movie)

My biggest complaint has always been the FX with too much light too much rocky camera and not enough detail either I'm not getting the 4K or they're not shooting it in 4K.... It needs to be crisp and clear just like the way the expanse does it

Yep definitely agree we need more beauty shots of the ships on disco. The shaking cam fast movement footage means you almost never get a clear picture of Discovery. Current trek production staff seem to have forgotten the ship is one of the main characters.

Kind of a weird energy here haha. Couldn’t agree more on the flybys we need more of that!

Star Trek: Prodigy seems to play like the Children's Holo Novel like, The Adventures of Flotter with Janeway helping children facing challenges on the Holodeck.

they could take a page from STO and use the iconian threat to bring the people of 32 century together like sean was mentioning for a season of disco. that could be an interesting take to bring to the screen..

Your channel is great, I am not sure why it has so few views though. Granted I guess Star Trek in general isn't as popular these days.. Especially in regards to star trek discovery.

Yes, we absolutely need more beauty shots! From the beginning of Discovery, I've hated the low-res, poorly lit aesthetic of the ship visuals (leaving aside the issue of crappy design aesthetic, which is a completely separate rant).

I hope to see Sonya Gomez in Lower Decks. If you think of it - Sonya was one of the first TNG lower decks characters, after Miles O'Brien. I'd also love to see other TNG lower decks characters appear in Lower Decks, like those from the lower decks episode. Maybe some Voyager lower decks characters, like Vorik and the Wildmans. It might even be nice to see Icheb. There’s opportunity for some really dark humor with him, knowing his eventual end in Picard.

I loved the Pakleds coming back as the villains in No Small Parts. And I love the idea of their ships being jerry-rigged kludges, cobbled together from dozens of other familiar ships. It allows for a unique Pakled design every time they appear.

I like the idea of a galaxy-wide threat bringing the entire Milky Way together. One word: KELVANS.

Viewscreens: Compromise and make them walls that can either have images projected on it, or have it become transparent to use as a window. Programmable matter, meet smart materials.

One thing I’d throw into the cargo bay and eject forever is: a low-ranked Starfleet officer being rewarded for one exemplary action with a four- or five-grade promotion and command of an ENTIRE SHIP full of people who were all significantly senior to him YESTERDAY. It doesn’t make any sense in any way, it’s never happened in any real-world organization, and it represents a fundamental misunderstanding of how merit and experience work by any writer who ever used it as a plot device. You don’t graduate from film school, direct one successful indy film, and immediately get named director of a $200 million MCU blockbuster. You don’t graduate the police academy, make one good arrest, and immediately get named Chief of Detectives. You don’t graduate business school, open one successful convenience store, and immediately get named CEO of 7-11. Likewise, you don’t graduate Starfleet Academy, solve one big problem, and get named captain of the Federation flagship. Eject this crappy trope into space forever - PUSH THE BUTTON, MAX!

I agree with a lot of this. I also dislike the 3 nacelles designs

All beauty shot time was used up in ST:TMP.. seriously, they burned 10 minutes on the re-fit Enterprise

That’s the thing with the “shutting off your brain” part of that Paul, it’s Trek. It’s supposed OPEN Your mind. Not make you power it down! I’m my opinion anyways. Where’s the cerebral essence? That goes against what Trek was conceived to do.
