First Ride on the NEW Yamaha R1!

The Yamaha R1, a bike I am plenty familiar with. I owned by 2009 Yamaha R1 for 4 years before switching things up and getting my 2nd R6, the new 2017 version. But I've always said, even back when I owned my R1, that I'd like to get one of the new ones once they did the mid-cycle refresh. Believe it or not, I still hadn't ridden a new gen R1. Hey, I just recently got hit by a driver running a red light. Spent a couple weeks in hospital with multiple broken limbs. Worst part is my brand new 2017 R6 was a write off. Lucky I had insurance. The driver is taking me to court to say it was my fault so she doesn't lose her licence. I desperately want to get back on a bike but if I somehow lose this court case (Australia's justice system is trash) my insurance will sky rocket and I won't be able to afford a new bike. Just wanted to say I'm riding vicariously through your vids and I really appreciate the time and effort you put into them. Cheers.

moto do you mind sharing what video export settings you use? is it just the H.264 or something else? coz i think i've never seen a youtube video (motovlog anyways) this crystal clear before! kudos hehe. or is it just the Lut?

Speaking of dream bikes, the previous gen S1000RR/HP4 is still my dream bike. I don't actually have a bike yet, so it will be a while before I can get one, but that's the bike that got me interested in motorcycling.

I love the 09+ R1, I'm on my second 09 yamaha r1 and I don't see myself owning another liter bike unless is a 2015+ R1 lol Nothing like the sound of a crossplane engine 💪🏍💨 #teamyamaha

Maa, I love Kawasaki and my 636, but when I'm ready for that liter bike life, the new R1 is definitely my top choice (that or the new CBR1000RR)

Great video man. These first rides you've been doing lately are really fantastic. You still using the gopro 6 for these? Assuming 1080 by 60 and a wired mic? Also, I would love you forever if you got a 1299 anniversario haha although I do think the V4 is a better bike overall.

R6&R1 always be my fav bike because the feel that bike i mean Yamaha have different soul too knows what you want it. Very Nice to have one that bike
