There was a middle-aged man wearing a football shirt, alone, at Karlshorst Sbahn yesterday singing at the top of his voice like 😃. And he didn't even seem drunk

I have to correct one point: the 3rd division in German League system is not '3. Bundesliga' but only '3. Liga' because the first two divisions are organized by DFL (Deutsche Fussball Liga) while the 3. Liga is organized by DFB (Deutscher Fußball Bund).

Love the energy, especially because neither of you are huge fans. I'm also not into football, but I enjoyed this video a lot :)

@8:30 It's even common that the half of the participants of DFB-Pokal are team from 3rd, 4th, 5th divisions and maybe leagues below. They have the once-in-a-lifetime chance to beat a team of Bundesliga or 2. Bundesliga. It's different from f.e. FA Cup in England where the teams until Round of 16 need two games to beat a club from the Premier League, which is way harter than to win in just one game.

Fun fact: the closer I was getting to my move to Germany and the more I was learning to prepare myself and all, the more enthusiasm I somehow began building for soccer and for being aware of what happens when. Totally unrelated. 😂No, it can't be that much unrelated, and this video has been a fingers-snap-answering of questions from start to finish! Or for me, more correctly would be a bulb that lights.. like many of them 💡💡💡💡 About getting Yvonne to discuss, to answer questions and to give knowledge on soccer, I found out on my own right before that Leverkusen - Fortuna game in question that you mentioned. 😂Yes, in our Smoothler Verein! Which is exactly as cool and awesome as you pointed out. Only more awesome and exciting! 🥰

I'm overly excited about the UEFA Cup starting and taking place here in Germany! In fact, today I had the chance to see my work schedule for June and I almost jumped for joy that I'm given the day off on June 14th!🥳

Very beautiful jerseys, both of you!! 4 is my favorite number, and more than everything I want that added for Germany this summer to the UEFA cups as well! 🤞🏆🏆🏆🏆

This is so amazing. I am personally not too much into football but I would really love to witness that unity and the celebration :)

Also, go to a small local pub (not a Sportpub), and visit the games there. For the most important ones, very fast you can make new frinds.
And attention, you can be fast in a conflict, when you are between two areas, or in Hamburg or Berlin where you have two big teams as Pauli and HSV or Hertha and Union...

Very good explained for Fußball Newbies. Love how the VW 'Bully' Bus in the back fits exactly to the Design of the 2014 Trikots. :)

Perfect timing, I've been getting really into German football, and started going to my local team's games, 1. FC. Union! Not the best moment to start though, since it's the end of the season 😅

I look forward to checking out the Reinuferpromenade in DUS for the Slovakia v Ukraine and Albania v Spain games. Would be better to see a more local team play, but I'll take what I can get this trip. Great video ladies, thanks 🙏

Fortuna Düsseldorf might get from the 2nd League into the 1st League next season. Fortuna is ranked 3rd in 2nd League and VFL Bochum is ranked 3rd last in the 1st League so there will be two matches (in German: “Relegationsspiele”) between them to determine who will play in which league – first one on Thursday.
Go, Fortuna, Go 😉

The energy in this video is amazing, guys, and Yvonne couldn't help but beam with excitement. You are absolutely right, Jen, Germans LOVE talking about Short story that I want to share with you guys. It's summer 2014, and I fly home to be with my family for the holidays. The world cup is on, and I am taking all of it with such laser precision and following ALL the games right. I tell my friend a few days before the game that Germany is going to win with a 7-1 scoreline against Brazil, let's put some money on the game. I GO ON TO LET HIM TALK ME OUT OF IT 😥. We are still friends, but I remind him of it every chance that I get 🤣🤣🤣

Interesting, 2006 was the first football game I watched together with my girlfriend, who is now my wife. We will go to watch some EURO 2024 games. Looking forward!
This episode is really interesting, maybe next time Yvonne can also introduce a bit about Triathlon, cuz German used to dominate the Ironman for several years. I am also doing triathlon 😄
