10 Reasons To Buy The ALL NEW 2023 Toyota C-HR!!

The compact SUV market has gotten to see an increase in the number of cars being produced over recent years, with this specific form factor becoming all the more well-liked as time goes by. The Japanese automaker's main entry into this area is with the Toyota C-HR.

This car provides excellent all-around performance as far as efficiency, handling, comfort and feels go, and it has excellent styling and build quality. So is the new 2023 Toyota C-HR a car you should be looking to buy when it comes out? Let's find out.

Better Engine Than Ever

The Inline 4 engine of the all new Toyota C-HR could be tuned with Turbocharges or superchargers to adorn its sporty-looking exterior. This year also, Toyota has maintained the same engine. It produces 144 horsepower, and 139 lb-ft of torque which is relatively low when measured by its segment rivals. The engine does kick in, but not a huge amount.

The engine and transmission are composed of a five-year 60,000 miles powertrain warranty. Engine pairs with the only available CVT automatic transmission. The C-HR only offers an FWD drivetrain that can not be upgraded to AWD.

Sporty Exterior

Even though it is a small family SUV, Toyota has not stopped the C-HR lineup from looking cool and unique. The beauty of a Toyota car really stands out, especially in the small SUV category.

Some of the new 2023 Toyota C-HR's cheeky exterior design elements that make their way in the cabin, with a shiny black trim, an asymmetrical dashboard design, and textured headliner.

Also, the sporty details can be found all over the C-HR. The aggressive-looking front grille, with the widened wheel arches, along with the rear spoiler and the sporty vents are just a few. Overall, Toyota dominates in a class which is not known for having the best-looking cars and for that reason, it is no doubt one of the best.

Efficiency

Acceleration is not the all new 2023 Toyota C-HR's main focus, and the fuel efficiency is where this crossover shines. And for a car of its size, shape, and weight, the new Toyota C-HR will most probably offer some fairly competitive ratings regarding fuel efficiency. While its EPA estimates of 27 mpg city and 31 mpg highway have the C-HR neck and neck with most rivals.

Given that the car has a relatively large 2.0-litre engine, the C-HR is not as efficient as similar cars with smaller capacity engines; but, the Toyota C-HR manages to give the user a combined mpg of up to 30 across the entire range, making it relatively plentiful nonetheless. The XLE model we tested smashed past its EPA rating and delivered a phenomenal 37 mpg over the course of 200 miles.

Great Handling

As one of the much more sportier SUVs, the C-HR gives the user a great feel despite the lower-powered engine. The steering for the Toyota C-HR is snappy, and with a swift and snappy response from the throttle, the user could easily mistake the new C-HR for a car half its size. Now speaking of its shape, the unique and almost squashed design gives it a massive advantage, making it seem much smaller and helping minimize any potential body roll.

Over bumps, the C-HR delivers a comfortable ride, but it is not a standout in this segment. Also, the suspension of the C-HR quickly rebounds after large road imperfections but hits a stretch of patched or broken pavement at speed. The handling is said to be very lively, body roll is well controlled, and also the all new 2023 C-HR will feel playful from behind the wheel.

Stunning Interior Quality

When it comes to the interior, the quality of the interior is undoubtedly up to standard, but this should not be a surprise, as given that the car is made by veteran manufacturer Toyota.

The highest-end versions of the all new 2023 C-HR will obviously pack the biggest punch, with high-quality leather and so on. However, don't be put off the lower-end models as the interior is well-designed and is very well put together with very little to no cheap plastics used regardless of specification.

The C-HR's seats are well-cushioned and supportive, and the suspension of the car smooths out most bumps in the road. Also the cabin is a pleasant place to be, whether you are a driver or a passenger.

The C-HR's straightforward control layout is attractive, and the main controls are very easy to use. But some of the more advanced features, like the adaptive cruise control, are a little hard to figure out. It is easy to note that on the front of the C-HR, however those thick rear roof pillars obscure the user's view to the back.

I have a 2019 C-HR and LOVE it! It is my daily driver. I also have all the Toyota TRD performance part upgrades for the car including the TRD Air Intake kit for more horsepower and torque than stock and the TRD performance Lowering Springs. Since it is a Toyota, after 4 years the car still drives like new. This car is definitely a keeper. I actually just put on Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires and the car even drives better than before. Well done Toyota. Well done.

I wanted to swap my 2020 corolla hybrid ZR for a limited chr, went to test drive and even tho i love the styling and the slightly bigger back seat area and boot i couldnt get past how outdated the whole entire dashboard is.
The gauge cluster compared to my 20 corolla feels like its from 2010, the little tiny screen in between the 2 dials in fromt of you looks so old and same with the graphics.
The AC unit, same story..
Idk why toyota would do this, such a nice looking car.

still waiting for them to fix the backseats, I was in line to check out a used CHR that still wasnt available for sale. I dont want a bulky Rav4 or a lookalike Rav4 (crossover), hope they can change their minds in the next year or two because ive been waiting to buy.

Just ordered the Excel model, shame that there's a 4 to 6 month wait for delivery.

I love it but I wish it had a boost for driving on the highway. I also wish it had a platinum package with heated & cooling seats, heated steering wheel and auto-park. I wish the rear seats fold down for more storage. I think it is cute.
