The Dark Island

Показать описание
The Dark Island is the title song of the TV series "The Dark Island", that was recorded by the BBC in the early 60s. The song has been performed in many variaties. It has mainly been done by piperbands and singers with very beautiful voices like Mary Duff. The melody has been written by Ian McLaughlan and David Silver wrote a text for it. This song has that wonderful atmosphere that is often heard in Irish, Scottisch, but also Norwegian songs. Pete Korving created a Backing Track with this wonderful touch, I could not resist it.
