" What else is on ? "  that sums up everything ...

the key to this scene is the part where as soon as truman’s story ends the audience just move on to something else to consume

If I was Truman, I would lawyer up and get one of the best settlements the world has ever seen.

"I know you better than you know yourself!"
"YOU NEVER HAD A CAMERA IN MY HEAD!"
One dialogue that stayed with me forever.

Truman's last line is the biggest "Screw you" he could've given him. No big grand speech about life, or how the Director is a sick person, just the canned line truman has used probably 100 times. Such a good movie.

I love Truman's "Incase I don't see you! Good afternoon, good evening and goodnight" followed by that bow was both the perfect F-you but also such a fitting ending to his show.

I like how we don’t know what happened to Truman after he left. We don’t know what became of him. We don’t know how he integrated into the real world: that’s not for us to know anymore. It truly, is his life now.

This movie is an absolute work of genius. The most underrated movie of the 1990's, hands down.

I love that the last thing we see of Truman is the same as the viewers of the show. After he steps through that door, he's gone. No more cameras on him. No "what happens next", no scene of him meeting Lauren, walking out into the wilderness, being swamped by paparazzi etc. That's all left up to us to imagine. This movie is a wonderfully told story that gives the viewer space to reflect at the end instead of holding your hand and treating you like a dumb child.

“Your afraid, that’s why you can’t leave” it’s hard to step out of your comfort zone even if it’s what’s driving you crazy

Truman banging on that wall always gets me. That's him having the concrete proof that his whole life and whole world is fake. That's him finally knowing.

4:49 The face of a man who's just realized that his life's greatest work is over because he couldn't control another man's life forever. The expression is just priceless.

"Was nothing real..."
"You were real... There's no more truth out there than there is in the world that I created for you"
The dialogue. The music. The calm yet haunting nature of Ed Harris' voice. Masterful

I never took the producer's facial expression as something negative or him being mad at a "bad ending" - to me it seems like an obsessive artist's realisation of finishing their masterpiece, because in the end.. this would be the best finale in TV history, no?

One of the most uplifting and powerful endings to any movie. I always get a huge smile on my face when he takes a bow.

I can live with Carrey not being nominated. That's fine. But it's a fact this was the most well written original script of 1998 and probably one of the best of all time. This movie IS more well written than Shakespeare in Love. That has to be a fact.

The scene just right before this one, the one where he crashes his boat and finally realizes everything, and then dispair hits him and he keeps hitting the wall again and again, with the amazing music in the background... that is the most beautiful scene in the film
