I take a look at the new three book release of Spelljammer for 5e Dungeons and Dragons

It was actually not the second setting. In fact the Radiant Triangle in the old spelljammer specifically was the connection between Forgotten Realms, Dragon Lance, and Greyhawk which were three of the settings that came out before spelljammer. I couldn't remember if it came before or after Ravenloft (ravenloft came before it) so I double checked the wikipedia article and it turns out it was in some ways the 12th setting even though some of the settings like Kara-Tur took place in forgotten realms, and some were licensed like a Conan book.

I mistakenly though Al-Qadim was before spelljammer but it wasn't. It also took place in forgotten realms though so it wasn't more of a location then a world of it's own.

Did anybody notice it didn't mention a spelljammer needed to be piloted by a spellcaster? Did they change that?

My disapointment in these new changes are heavy.. I will miss the old astral plane.
