So first off this stems from a short I did explaining the character named Hiyuki, whose powers I detailed when I went over how she was introduced in the series, and at that time I mentioned that Hiyuki is a Yokai Tamer, with her Yokai being Rikuo, the thing that is sending her Flamebone. To explain this, we just have to look at the japanese wording in the manga, where unlike the Viz translation that says Hiyuki is the WIELDER of Flamebone, in the original text Hiyuki is described as the MASTER or RULER of Flamebone, however we know that Rikuo isn’t just an activation phrase for her abilities because she literally speaks to it like a conscious entity and asks for the kind of bones she needs, very similar to the way Devil Contracts work in Chainsaw Man. So again, with all of this information in mind it paints the picture that Hiyuki is the Master of an Entity in a Japanese manga where we’ve already seen Mythological creatures in, that has the ability through a contract to send her its own flaming bones on the same level as an Enchanted Blade, meaning she literally has a Yokai or Spiritual Entity under contract, aka tamed probably thanks to the Kamunabi’s help considering there might even be ANOTHER Yokai the organization is hiding, but I hope this cleared that up.
