This is strange argument from Mr. CHAVAN who is known to be an extremely moral and ethical politician. We respect him for his impeccable credentials. However for him to state that MVA was an ethical formation is unacceptable . MVA was utterly unethical, opportunistic. Completely agree with Uddhav Saheb that Adani-Modi-Shah rule is Maharashtra’s ‘Enemy No.1’!

It is said that one should judge others’ intentions, not just by their words, but more so by their actions.

Here is a small list of actions that literally proves the Adani-Modi-Shah rule’s ill-intentions of breaking up Maharashtra into pieces, for instance, Bombay (not Mumbai), Vidarbha, etc., to reduce Maharashtra’s economic, political and cultural influence:

1. Breaking up of Shiv Sena and NCP into pieces, and then, snatching the Shiv Sena name and symbol from Uddhav Thackeray

2. Sidelining, Pro-United-Maharashtra BJP politicians such as:
i) Nitin Gadkari: by throwing him out of BJP’s crucial parliamentary board
ii) Eknath Kadse (a potential chief minister candidate): by throwing him out of the party, right after winning Maharashtra state elections
iii) Pankaja Munde: by taking away her ministership from the Maharashtra Cabinet
iv) Devendra Phadnavis: by demoting him (a full-term chief minister of a strategic state like Maharashtra) to a Deputy Chief Minister
v) Prakash Javdekar: by taking away all his ministries and cabinet posts from him
Instead, giving tickets and key strategic posts in the party to as many non-Maharashtrian politicians in Maharashtra as possible, for instance, Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Kirit Somaya, Piyush Goyal, Ravi Rana, Navneet Rana, Murji Patel, Mohit Khamboj, etc.

3. Taking away almost all the major projects from Maharashtra that are worth almost Rs. 2 lakh crore:
i) Vedanta-Foxcon semiconductor manufacturing project
ii) Tata-Airbus aircraft manufacturing project
iii) Bulk drug park project
iv) Medical devices park project
v) Renewal energy equipment park project
vi) IFSC (International Financial Services Centre) - International stock exchange and India International Bullion Exchange (IIBX)
Instead of the above projects, the Adani-Modi gang is forcing a refinery at Barsu in the Konkan region, a region that is picturesque, green and populated. Such refineries are suitable only in coastal Gujarat than any other coastal place in India, because Gujarat has the unique combination required for a refinery, that is, coastal, arid and sparsely populated. That's why refineries such as Jamnagar have been built in Gujarat. But, the Adani-Modi gang are hellbent to destroy Konkan's ecology.

4. Setting up of diamond park project in Navi Mumbai, a project which benefits only the rich people belonging to a few business communities in MMR (Mumbai Metropolitan Region)

5. Giving Maharashtra’s strategic infrastructure specifically to Adani, so that a perpetual control can be maintained over Maharashtra, for example:
i) Mumbai airport (both international and domestic terminals)
ii) Navi Mumbai international airport
iii) Mumbai port
iv) Dharavi redevelopment project (worth lakhs of crore rupees)

6. Developing infrastructure only between Mumbai and Gujarat:
i) Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train
ii) Mumbai-Delhi Expressway passing majorly through Gujarat, despite already having a 6-lane Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway. Mumbai-Delhi expressway should have passed through Nashik, which would have reduced the travel time, construction time and cost much more
iii) Launching Vande Bharat trains between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, despite there being Shatabdi, Duronto and so many other fast and slower trains on this route. Vande Bharat type of fast trains are in dire requirement on other routes that connect Mumbai to important cities of Maharashtra, such, Kolhapur, Ratnagiri, Jalgaon, et al

7. Developing infrastructure only between Mumbai and Nagpur:
- The Samruddhi expressway was not a priority requirement, as most people who own cars fly down to Nagpur and will hardly go by car
- The need of the hour is expressways on routes such as Mumbai-Goa, Mumbai-Nashik, Pune-Kolhapur, Pune-Solapur, 12-laning of Mumbai-Pune expressway, etc.
- The Mumbai-Goa 6-lane highway (not expressway) passes mainly through Konkan region, which has a Shiv Sena voting population that works in Mumbai and have their native places in Konkan. Obviously, they use roadways to travel to their native places more than any other mode of transport. However, this highway is under construction for almost 20 years, but still not even 60-70% complete.
- Also, the traffic density on the above-mentioned routes is very high compared to other routes in India. So, expressway construction should be prioritised as per traffic density and not just by political gains.
It is clear that the Adani-Modi gang wants to develop infrastructure between Mumbai and Gujarat, Vidarbha, et al, using Maharashtra’s funds and resources, before breaking Maharashtra up into pieces

8. Instigating villages in border districts of Maharashtra to join Gujarat or Karnataka

9. Sending Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister to Mumbai to hold an event to persuade the Hindi film industry to set-up shop in Uttar Pradesh

10. Sending an anti-Maharashtra person as a Governor of Maharashtra, who:
- spoke against Shivaji Maharaj and other Greats of Maharashtra such as Mahatma Phule, etc.
- was not only anti-Maharashtra, but also a supporter of only a few business communities that live and work in Maharashtra
- did not nominate 12 MLCs for 2.5 years, despite the Bombay High Court and Chief Justice questioning the Governor’s move (an undemocratic move amongst many others)
- did not allow Assembly Speaker’s election
- called for a floor test to facilitate the fall of the existing government, a move that is called unconstitutional by the Supreme Court of India


Another small list of actions, from a very long list, which points towards the Adani-Modi gang being 'India's No.1 Enemy' as well, is as follows:

1. Hypocrisy on nepotism, for instance, Jay Shah (son of Amit Shah) becoming the secretary of Board of Cricket Control of India (BCCI), which is one of the most money-making posts in the country. For instance, just look at the Cricket World Cup 2023 schedule, which is Ahmedabad centric, and not India centric, because of the economic and political interests of Amit and Jay Shah

2. Bullying over even discussions (let alone investigation) of the Hindenburg report’s Adani-Modi Scam in the Parliament and elsewhere

3. Media gag, for instance, surreptitiously buying the opposing media houses such as NDTV, Quint (Bloomberg Prime), CNN-TV18, et al, by Adani and Ambani

4. Abuse of institutions such as ED, CBI, IT, SEBI, RBI, et al

5. Attacking the autonomy of the Judiciary and the Election Commission of India (ECI)

6. Trying to finish off the opposition parties and leaders, for example immorally disqualifying Rahul Gandhi as a Member of Parliament (MP), etc.

7. Duplicity on other scams by the Adani-Modi gang, such as Coal Scam in Chattisgarh as detailed by AAP’s Sanjay Singh, Indian Oil’s Scam as explained by TMC’s Mahua Moitra, Vyapam Scam, Pegasus Scam, etc.

8. Hardly fulfilling any of the 2014 manifesto's promises for example:
- Achche din aanewale hain
- Rs. 15 lakh in every Indian’s bank account by getting back black money from abroad
- Na khaunga, na khanedunga
- Sabka sath, sabka Vikas
- Minimum government, maximum governance, et al

9. Not fulfilling people’s expectations of getting back Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK), breaking up Pakistan into pieces like Indira Gandhi did, implementing Uniform Civil Code (UCC), et al

10. Bad handling of Chinese incursions along the Line of Actual Control (LAC)

11. Crony capitalism, for example, creating laws and policies only in the favour of the rich, instead of for employees, workers, farmers, and consumers; reducing taxes of the rich corporates, and increasing taxes and/or reducing tax benefits of the common citizens

12. Deaths of common citizens during demonetisation

13. Bad road conditions across India

14. Horse-trading during elections

15. Forming governments with parties of opposing ideologies out of political greed for example, forming governments with:
- Mehbooba Mufti (PDP) in Kashmir
- Ajit Pawar (NCP) in Maharashtra
- Conrad Sangma (NPP) in Meghalaya, etc.

16. Abusing people's nationalistic and religious sentiments for political gains

17. Spreading the politics of communalism, regionalism and casteism across India

18. Doing Favouritism of only Gujarat, a state belonging to the rich business communities, for example:
a) during the Covid Pandemic, the central government gave a disproportionate number of vaccines to Gujarat
b) during weather related emergencies Gujarat received a disproportionate amount of aid from the Central government and other non-Adani-Modi ruled states like Maharashtra did not receive the required amount of aid from the central government, for instance:
i) after the Nisarg Cyclone in 2020 right in the middle of the Covid Pandemic
ii) wet drought was not declared in 2022
iii) no aid for unseasonal rains for Maharashtra’s farmers in February-March 2023 by the Central government, but the central government declared that Gujarat suffered the most damage during the same period, et al

19. Not giving a posthumous Bharat Ratna to Veer Savarkar, despite being in power at the centre for almost 9 years

20. Hardly any substantive action to address:
- Inflation (high fuel & food prices)
- Unemployment (continuous layoffs)
- Atrocities against women (hitting a pregnant female Shiv Sena worker in Thane)
- Increasing wealth gap between the rich and the poor in India
- Farmers' suicides (numbers high even after almost a decade in power), etc.

The list goes on and on...
