The TRUTH About How the Government Spends Your TAXES

The average kiwi household spends tens of thousands of dollars on tax each year, both when they earn it and when they spend it. In this video, I show exactly where the government's tax comes from, and where it goes, in the most detail you'll find on any government website. Tax is essential to the running of our country, it funds our schools, our hospitals, our retirement, and the infrastructure we use to do most daily tasks. Knowing how, and where the government spends our tax dollars is only fair, and through this video, I hope to empower you with this information.

There are lots of interesting areas where the government spends our taxes, including Antarctic research, Kiwisaver, the travel of former PMs, and even VIP transport, among many others. There are over 1,000 types of expenses so you're sure to learn a lot!

Good video! It's so discombobulating looking at all of it but also interesting the points you looked at, I'm a high school student and could be doing polytechnic this year it's good with the fees free payments, I know someone who is getting their first year in bachelors of IT and it helps them alot, this me also I won't have to pay 3k for my cookery course as the school and government helps with that, it will be interesting if national gets in and if they change it since it is nearly 400 million. All I know is that it has help many people to clear a bit of debt. I would say that the Government helps people when they are in difficulty. I don't know. Good video Chur

All I got from this is that government officials need to take a pay cut and stop spending taxpayer money on alcohol, expensive meals, and holidays. No government official should be earning around half a million a year.
