Doesn't matter how well you present your arguments, you will be shut down in a university. One of my classmates attempted to discuss the flaws of the wage gap with our feminist professor, she ended up calling him a woman hater repeatedly within a minute before being able to dive into a deeper discussion. I believe that there is literally no point of convincing these people, but I think it is important to spread awareness that critical thinking is no longer a virtue for a university.

In the fall of 2016 before the election, I went to a dinner at a local beer pub with a friend and her husband, and she invited 3 friends, women that worked with her in the library at a liberal college. In the course of conversation, I mentioned I had ordered Trump bumper stickers for my truck. Instantly, these three women I had only met 20 minutes before started yelling, and I mean making a scene yelling, at me, saying things worse than you'd say to someone who just ran over a kid in traffic. It was unreal. I took this for about 5 minutes, then just stood up, said I was calling it a night, threw down some cash for my tab, and walked out. Haven't seen my friend since. That was my introduction to Trump Derangement Syndrome.

What the hell happened? When I went to college, I never even thought about my political affiliation in school. I voted in the elections. My teachers taught their classes. I was never preached to about Medicare for all. Now you even mention conservatism to the wrong person and you get death threats. This is very sad. I am not trying to to date myself. I graduated with a B.S. in 1989.

I lost a few family members. I told them blood should be thicker then our views. They didn't care. Said I would still be there no matter what. It's sad.

I had a 102 in a class... week 5 I said “hey I’m actually conservative” in response to something. My very openly liberal teacher debated me for 2 hours in class, and my grade suddenly plummeted to an 80. No matter how well I did anything she wouldn’t give me above a 75 on things. I had gone to my writing lab to have a paper reviewed for me and was told the paper was impeccable... got a 75. No reasons or corrections given.

I was called a dumb b and a disgrace to Hispanics once this girl knew I was a trump supporter. Tried blasting me on Facebook and everything. At first I cared too much. But now I don’t care. I’m a proud trump supporter no reason to hide it.
