I'm of First Nations descent, I'm from the Mikmaq People. We sing this hymn every year in our own language. Hundreds of years ago when missionaries came they taught us prayers, hymns, and passages from the bible. We managed to keep them alive the way they were taught to us. And this is sung the exact same way but in my language. My people are located on the east coast of Canada in the provinces of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, P.E.I., Newfoundland, and Quebec. I'm Catholic and for me the most beautiful part of the Mass each Sunday is when we sing from The Psalms that King David wrote. And I heaar how he loved God, and felt so disappointed in himself that he might have hurt God in his being weak at many times in his life. I feel like a friend to David, and am fully aware and appreciative of hpw my path to God, through his Son, Jesus Christ, in on a continuum that starts with The God of Israel, in His time, communicated to Abraham. I play this video often.  Not only do I think this is one of the most beautiful hymns of praise and devotion, the video is extremely well done.  I particularly like the image of the young woman praying her rosary.  I see the serenity and joy reflected in her face, and think to myself, "I want that, too."  The first time I watched this (a while ago), it inspired me to start praying the rosary regularly again. Whenever I feel tempted to sin, I also try to play this video.  It reminds me of the eternal joy I seek in God, and helps me to avoid the fleeting and false pleasures of sin.

I sang this song so many times as a young girl attending Catholic School. During Forty Hours devotion, any time we had Benediction.We sang it in this same flowing way. The video of the Consecration brings me to tears. I have NEVER doubted that Jesus was in the Blessed Sacrament. As Fr. Corapi says", I don't adore a cookie, but I will lay face down before the body and blood of Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament.". May He be adored forever and ever! Jesus My Lord My God My All!
