Have Fun Stay Safe and go skate!

I hope this helps you decide what trucks you want to skate. I really had a hard time trucks and what trucks I should skate. I was getting silvers for free for a long time and liked the pop angle on the silver M class BUT I kept getting wheel bite a lot and didn't know it was because they were low. I got heigh trucks but that screwed me over. lol I got these thunders now that are a low and I like it a lot more then skating a heigh.

Also I would say just go street skating for now until this corn thing is completely done. being around a bunch of people at a skatepark isn't a good idea I don't think.

Love y'all

To prevent wheelbite, wax your deck right where your wheels always touch.

Trucks were the last thing I figure out for my setup when trying to figure out what I most comfortable with. Thunder light 148 is best for me for street skating but indy or ace work for me in the bowl on my big boards.

Those value production. Absolutely love your videos lately🔥, but can't wait till you try to land that coffee trick shot again🔥🙏

Trucks have different wheelbases too which also effects your skating pretty dramatically. Indys are a very tall truck but they have a shorter wheelbase to try and balance the pop feel and keep it from being too steep. Thunders are a pretty low truck but they have a wide wheelbase to give more pop. Wheelbase also effects manuals, and a wide wheelbase makes tricks like tre flips or lasers harder to get around.

Thunder 147 lights on a Indy titanium baseplate is the best truck I've ridden by far for me.

Keeps the Wheelbase almost the same, got the perfect in between height and the nice baseplate slide of an indy with the responsive and fast popping feel if a thunder. I don't know why not more people do it but it kinda eliminates the weaknesses of both trucks and only keeps the good things about them.

Bushings are also very important. I recently discovered bones hardcore bushings and they are amazing. They allow smooth turning but with amazing rebound. I suggest switching out your bushings for these.

Id say that weight is pretty important too, When you get used to a weight you like and you ride something different you either strugle to pop or over pop to where you lose all control

As a newbie that has money to experiment. ACE has worked best so far, has good turning, stable when not turning and it's easier to pop for me than trucks with a longer wheelbase like thunder or ventures.

pay attention to weight. If you go from a super light truck to some THICC indys, you might notice your board not coming around as fast on flips. Or you are having to jump higher on certain tricks. For an experienced rider so has great pop and goes fast it might not matter a whole lot. But for someone just starting out in year 1 or 2, a dramatic change in weight on the truck could set you back a step.

Hey @Christian Flores: I tried a lot of trucks. One thing that has helped me a lot is understanding what to prioritise (what you said + long lasting, turn, lightweight). I don't personally need the strongest truck out there. I used to ride Indys, whose main selling points are resistance and turn. Turn was smooth but I soon found out that I can basically get used to any turning behaviour within "professional" brands; worst case scenario I changed bushings. The other thing is that virtually any "professional" truck for me will last long enough, and sure, Indys' resistance is a plus but I would really prefer to gain on the lightweight side and sacrifice on durability. I pop better, I control spin better, I overall feel better. I found the best balance in Thunders or Ventures with hollow axle and kingpin. Indys were too heavy, and when I tried Tensor Mag Lights they were too light and flick seemed sort of out of control. Silver, Krux and Destructos were fine, but didn't feel as good as Thunder, Venture or Indys in my personal opinion.

For me, a little weird but I consider the weight of the trucks. I like my trucks light so hollows for me are the way to go. I don't skate that hard anyways to break a truck. So it's perfect to me and it's easier to lift the board of the ground. 😁

It's not entirely about the height, but also where the axle is. Thunder trucks axles stick out further from the center of the board than Indy does, resulting in a steeper angle.

I got super lucky because I switched from thunder to theeves and getting used to them was farely graceful

YOU FORGOT TO MENTION: make sure you find a brand that has a casted in axle. It’s kind of a thing of the past (axle slip), but it’s still worth noting that some of the OG companies that first had casted axles are still amazing such as venture! Venture trucks All Day!

I stick to one brand bc I like how they feel...so I would find something that I like. I recommend krux and indys
