Sound is all around us in our world, but most people don't know very much about sound, so let's open our ears and learn more about #sounds

A sound is a form of energy that comes from objects that vibrate. When a guitar is played the guitar strings make a sound when they vibrate.

Sound can also cause matter to move. If you put your hand on a speaker you can feel it vibrate when it plays sounds.

Sound waves are vibrating energy that look like waves. Sound waves are composed of microscopic building blocks called molecules. Sound waves travel back and forth through solids, liquids and even gases to get to another location.

Sound waves are how you can hear sounds that are close to you, happening outside or even underwater.

Sound travels through water quicker than through air; and even faster through solids like stone, iron, and steel.
