This was actually a brown bear not a cave bear and only dated back 3500 years ago and even if it was a cave bear, they were omnivores, they ate fruits, plants, and probably a whole lot of early homo sapien (human) meat lol They had a diet similar to the modern day brown bears. I think the vegetarian diet is not completly wrong through, just a bit exaggerated considering they did eat meat, and to be solely a vegeterian, you dont eat meat. Lol

They were not vegetarian.. the first cave bears ate only meat, then their next evolution noted less molars. Meaning they started eating more and more greens, making their teeth adapt to the changed diet. The added leafy diet benefited them by giving them more energy to stay in the caves longer, and not roam too much. Scientists believe they spent more time in caves than our brown bears do now. Caves bears closest relative now is the brown bear, they only go to caves to hibernate. Cave bears also had a weird shape to them, because of their cave dwelling. They were also the cutest of any bear, past and present. Look them up, they have cute short snouts... I'm obsessed with them currently lmao
