Heathkit V-7AU Repair initial assessment.
I bought a cheap Heathkit VVTM on eBay as a repair project. It arrived and in this video I run over the unit to assess what needs to be done to bring it back into use.
The V-7AU is the UK version of the V-7A, the main difference is the transformer being rated for 240v AC mains. Looking at the components it appears that the unit I have dates around 1962. The installed valves alone are worth more than what I paid for the whole unit! Whatever, I will be doing a quick repair and bringing the unit back into service.
