Why are Russia and China getting closer?

China and Russia say their friendship has 'no limits' - and since the war in Ukraine, they appear to have been getting closer.

The common enemy brought them closer. This will continue being more closer and working together in all aspects as long as the enemy is not defeated in a way it will not be a fret to them and the entire South where both of them are very much respected, loved, admired and seen as protectors and defenders.

In WW2, the US and UK allied with the secondary enemy (Soviet Union) to fight their primary enemy. In the coming WW3, the leaders of the West focus on fighting the secondary enemy and hope that their primary enemy will remain neutral.
