At Least 30 Dead in Western New York After Blizzard

A state of emergency remains in place in Buffalo’s Erie County following an historic blizzard that dumped feet of snow in locations. My sympathy goes out to the families of the people that lost their lives in this storm.
Looters are the lowest form of humanity and once arrested I hope they face stiff penalties for what they have done.

What is different from this storm they keep asking? Scale, more people, more outages, more folks in need who SEVERELY under prepared, or did not prepare at all. My heart really truly goes out to the families of those who died.

Finding a dead body in a snow bank is just something I don't want to see and hope that I never will. Got to be one of the worst ways to die. A valuable lesson can be learned from this which is to not go anywhere when a blizzard is coming your way. If your employer is still forcing you to drive in a blizzard warning, screw them. Your life is more important than your job. Always a good idea to keep several blankets in your car, and having a backup generator in case your power goes out.

As a person that preps for disasters it hurts me to know so many weren't prepared when even the media warned this could be bad! You should have a backup for everything you and your family needs to survive! I hope people learned from this. With this government you will be left to fend for yourself again!

I've seen the lowest of the low. Stealing someone's Cadillac converter is very very low. Looting while people are dying. Super low.

Troops have been deployed and there is a curfew. Hopefully they will catch some of these looting scum.

Another problem will be the frozen pipes that will thaw causing flooding in their houses.
People should know how to shut off the main water valve to their houses, until they can get a plumber, which may take a week or more to arrive. Fill up the bath tubs for flushing toilets.
They should mention this on another briefing.

Looting what? Food and drink to stay alive or are people carrying huge TVs through 2 story snow drifts? I'm guessing it's mostly food to stay alive and probably alcohol to pass the time.

This is old footage about the looting. There’s been footage of it out there for days. Guard was sent to keep people from driving but apparently not from looting 😂.
