I think the controversy is pretty much ridiculous all the way around. These animals aren't being raised to have happy long pleasant lives.. They're raised to be fattened up, slaughtered and devoured.. You can gussy it up all you want but EVERY animal that we've domesticated for food is being raised to get fat, die and be eaten.. and that's just fine. Unless the animal is endangered, animal rights groups can piss off.
