The SECRET to painting flower petals using tones #painting #artist

Here’s how I use tones to mix my colors, creating soft and airy petals. First, I start with mixing a warm or cool tone, before adding in my colors. I try and get the value of the colour approximately where I want it to be before adding in the hue.

Doing this creates a soft colour mix, one that is still bright and cheerful, but not overly saturated. This is particularly effective when you use a wide range of cool and warm tones throughout flower, which creates depth and contrast but keeps the petals feeling light and airy.

I’ve heard some artists called it "using mother color". Basically, if you mix every color in your pallete with another color, every color will lean to that color and thus create a harmonious look.

Hi im a total beginner in art but i mixt colors and paint better than drawing, im starting to learn art basics, do u advise me to do both in same time or only start with black pencils

If i want a realistic fliwer picture i woll use a camera. I paint but original things with my own style not photorealism which isn't so creative but a waste of time.
