🍄 Paint a realistic toadstool mushroom in watercolor – without using any white paint 🎨

Join me, Anna Mason, in ths mini class where I show you how to paint a 3D, realistic toadstool, covered in bumpy white spots. I'll demonstrate the best way to create 3D form and capture the autumb sunshine on the mushroom. To paint the white spots we'll use a 'negative painting' technique where we build up layers of paint in the surrounding areas. Painting them this way will enable you to achieve brighter, more realistic spots than you’d ever get by using white paint.

✨ What you’ll learn in this class:

The step-by-step process for painting a toadstool mushroom in watercolour, including the special technique for creating luminous, realistic spots without white paint.
How to layer watercolours to create depth and texture, bringing out the mushroom's natural beauty.
Techniques for painting the smooth, delicate stem and capturing the fine details that make your toadstool appear lifelike.

This mini class is brought to you by Nature Studio. We're an online art school and community for artists all over the world who find inspiration from nature subjects. Beginner and experienced artists join us to transform their realistic drawing and painting skills and connect with others to receive feedback on their work and cheer their fellow artists on too.
