Think artificial intelligence (AI) is confined to the "minds" of robots? Advanced algorithms are taking on roles traditionally performed by humans and are accelerating science research. Professor Yisong Yue who is shaping the development of next-generation technologies, discusses how an AI-enhanced future may help paralyzed patients walk again, enable drones and robots to aid in search and rescue missions, and build a better earthquake monitoring system.
